FUTURISTIC TRAVEL KIOSK

Self-Initiated Concept Design Project

This self-assigned project explored the design of a futuristic travel information kiosk inspired by experimental architecture, immersive environments, and destination-based guest experiences. Designed in SketchUp, the concept combines flowing organic forms, illuminated surfaces, and minimalistic architectural language to create a visually iconic guest interaction space.

The project was influenced by contemporary parametric architecture, futuristic urban design, and Disney Vacation Club kiosk experiences, reimagined through a more stylized and experiential lens. The kiosk was designed to function as both a guest services touchpoint and a sculptural placemaking element within a larger themed environment.

The design process included precedent research, hand sketch exploration, dimensional studies, 3D modeling, rendering, and presentation drafting. Particular focus was placed on silhouette, lighting integration, and how the structure would create an immersive guest experience both day and night.

Project scope included:

  • Architectural concept development

  • Reference and precedent research

  • Hand sketch ideation

  • 3D modeling in SketchUp

  • Presentation rendering

  • Elevation drafting

  • Environmental and experiential design exploration
